Why we exist

Because the seams are where things break

Most outages are not caused by bad code or bad hardware. They happen at the seam between them - the place where the software team says the network is fine and the network team says the application is at fault.

WLF was set up to remove that seam. We write the platform, we buy the machines, we configure the switches and we answer the support mail. It is more work, and it is the reason our customers get an answer instead of a referral.

What we care about

Ownership. If our name is on it, we run it.
Plain language. No invented jargon in invoices, contracts or status updates.
Honest capacity. We sell what we have, not what we hope to have.
Documented operations. Runbooks over tribal knowledge.
Long horizons. Decisions made for the next five years, not the next quarter.

Founders

Who runs it

Two founders with opposite starting points - one from operations and the commercial side, one from software engineering. The company is the overlap.

Luca Dal Zotto

Co-founder · Director

Luca is the director of WLF Digital Solutions Ltd and co-founder of RentAmac. He did not come from a technology background - his route in was logistics and asset management, which is where the idea came from: high-quality Apple hardware is expensive to own, easy to under-use, and awkward to look after. RentAmac was the answer, rented by the day, week or month.

He runs the commercial side of the group - pricing, partnerships, suppliers and the customer relationship - and has said the mixed background is the point: "We've created a niche business in a crowded market by focusing on flexibility and access."

Dario Ferrai

Co-founder · Engineering

Dario is a software engineer and co-founder of RentAmac, based in Paphos. He is also co-founder and CEO of CodeNotion, which builds and maintains .NET enterprise systems, and the two companies have worked alongside each other since RentAmac started.

His background is backend, full-stack and architecture - C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, Angular and TypeScript, shipped through Azure DevOps and Docker. That is the stack the group's platforms run on today, which is why the software and the infrastructure were designed together rather than bolted to each other.

A deliberately small team covering application development, platform engineering, network operations and customer support.

Advisors & partners

We work with accountants, datacentre operators and hardware suppliers in each region we serve, under long-term agreements.

We hire rarely, and carefully

There is no permanent job board here. When we do hire, it is for people who are comfortable owning something end to end - writing the service, deploying it, and being the one who gets paged if it misbehaves.
