Self-service platform
Customer portal, admin console and public API. Sign-up, plan changes, renewals and cancellations all happen without a human in the loop.
Ventures
WLF funds, develops and operates its own platforms. Owning the product and the infrastructure lets us price honestly, move quickly and support customers without an intermediary.
RentAmac
rentamac.io
RentAmac rents dedicated Apple Mac minis by the month from real datacentres. A customer chooses a machine and a region, pays by card, and has administrator access within minutes - no sales call, no setup fee, no shared tenancy.
It exists because the alternatives are bad: buying a Mac ties up capital and needs somewhere to live, and hourly cloud Macs get expensive the moment a build queue is busy all day.
Under the hood
RentAmac is a good illustration of how much of a hosting business is software. Roughly speaking, the hardware is the easy part.
Customer portal, admin console and public API. Sign-up, plan changes, renewals and cancellations all happen without a human in the loop.
Subscriptions, proration on upgrades, grace periods, dunning and VAT handling - integrated with Stripe and reconciled against the fleet.
Provisioning, credential rotation, device management and wipe-on-return, so a machine can be handed to the next customer safely.
Every machine has out-of-band console access, so a stuck host is recovered from a browser rather than from a flight.
Customers are pointed at the closest of three regions - Cyprus, the United States and India - before they ever reach checkout.
Alerting on power, temperature, network and payment events, with maintenance announced ahead of time rather than explained afterwards.
In development
We keep a short pipeline: one venture in production, one being built. The current project is remote-management hardware - the kind of board that lets us recover a machine anywhere in the world without sending someone to the rack.
Announcements go out on this page and to customers of the existing platforms first.
Custom KVM-over-IP boards with wireless provisioning, designed for fleets in locations where running another cable is not an option.
Our model
We write the platform ourselves rather than assembling somebody else's SaaS into a fragile chain.
We buy the hardware and hold the contracts. No reselling somebody else's capacity under our name.
Support, monitoring and maintenance stay in house, because that is where the product actually lives.
We are building companies to run for years, not to flip. Decisions get made on that timescale.
Owning the whole chain is inconvenient right up to the moment something breaks. Then it is the only reason the fix takes an hour instead of a week.
We work with datacentres, hardware suppliers and resellers in the regions we serve. If that is you, get in touch.
